Types of TRI/SFI A320/B737 Courses
About the Course: Type Ration Instructor (TRI) A320 – B737
Become a Type Rating Instructor on Airbus A320 Family or on Boeing 737 300-900.
Pre-entry Requirements
An applicant for an MCCI certificate shall:
- Hold a CPL, MPL or ATPL pilot licence on the applicable aircraft category
- Have completed 1500 hours flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes; and
- Have completed, within the 12 months preceding the date of application, 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings, as PIC or co-pilot on the applicable aeroplane type, of which 15 sectors may be completed in an FFS representing that type.
Time Scale
The TRI training course shall be conducted in the aircraft only if no FSTD is available and accessible and shall include:
- 25 hours of teaching and learning
- 10 hours of technical training, including revision of technical knowledge, the preparation of lesson plans and the development of classroom/simulator instructional skills
- 10 hours of flight instruction on the appropriate aircraft or an FSTD representing that aircraft the following training are provided, as applicable:
- additional specific training before conducting LIFUS;
- additional specific training before conducting landing training. That training in the FSTD shall include training for emergency procedures related to the aircraft
About the Course: Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) A320 – B737
Become a Synthetic Flight Instructor on Airbus A320 Family or on Boeing 737 300-900.
Pre-entry Requirements
An applicant for a TRI certificate shall:
- Hold a CPL, MPL or ATPL pilot licence on the applicable aircraft category
- Have completed 1 500 hours flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes
- Have completed, as a pilot or as an observer, within the 12 months preceding the application, at least:
- 3 route sectors on the flight deck of the applicable aircraft type
- 2 line-orientated flight training-based simulator sessions conducted by qualified flight crew on the flight deck of the applicable type. These simulator sessions shall include 2 flights of at least 2 hours each between 2 different aerodromes, and the associated pre-flight planning and de-briefing
Time Scale
The SFI training course shall be conducted in the aircraft only if no FSTD is available and accessible
and shall include:
- 25 hours of teaching and learning.
- 10 hours of technical training, including revision of technical knowledge, the preparation of lesson plans and the development of classroom/simulator instructional skills.
- 10 hours of flight instruction on the appropriate aircraft or an FSTD representing that aircraft.
About the Course: TRI/SFI Refresher Semiar
The course is aimed at holders of a TRI(A) and/or SFI(A) certificate wishing to renew or revalidate it's
validity.
Pre-entry Requirements
Instructors with a current or expired TRI/SFI rating.
Time Scale
TRI/SFI Refresher Seminar should run for at least 1 day (1 day = 6 hours).
